Sterling Hurst is an American film and television actor. In feature films, Sterling has proven himself as a side-splitting character actor (SHIFTING GEARS) as well as a ‘salt of the earth’ leading man (SMALL GROUP). His most recent television credits include CMT’s NASHVILLE, and the The CW’s VALOR .
Armed with a natural zest and expressive face, Sterling got his start in TV commercials with much success. His face has aired nationally and regionally in over 50 TV commercials for such brands as NASCAR, Duke Energy, Sheetz, Kentucky Speedway, Little Caesars, BB&T, Bojangles, Harris Teeter, Goody’s Headache Power, Goodwill, ResistAll, Mountain Dew and many others.
He’s performed well over 1,000 nights of live theatre in productions such as The Aliens as KJ, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Willy Wonka and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Vice Principal Panch.
Sterling is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade of NYC long-form improvisational comedy program on top of earning a B.F.A. in Acting from UNC Greensboro’s meisner-based conservatory program.
